I will evaluate my project, by taking the response that I got from the middle school staff, and figure out if they would actually take the idea into consideration, or if they would just look right past it. I will also see if the middle school staff thought this was a good idea, or a semi-good idea. If they had any questions or if they needed help the with program I would help them
This month I have emailed the middle school staff, giving them my ideas and explaining to them why I'm doing this.
Obsticals that I overcame we're trying to get ahold of the middle school staff, and waiting for their response. I had to figure out a time where they were able to sit down and talk, and when I could sit down and talk. We couldn't come up with any times were we both weren't busy at the same time. Settling with an email,

Schools
Communistic schools, are the schools that are public, you will have some choices of what you are going to do? They will pick the schools and classes that you are going to do. Socialistic schools are the schools that are going to be semi public and semi private. And you will have some choices of what you want to do. Capitalistic schools are the schools where you will have no personal choice, and you will be told what you are going to do.

Lemonade cost
To make a cup of lemonade it cost me 11.2 cents per cup. When I figured this I had to buy the cups, and then figure out how many cups were in each pitcher. I then found how much the other products would cost for a cup. And added everything together.

Min. Wage
I think that raising minimum wage would be a bad thing. I think that it would be a bad thing because, when the prices of jobs go up then the prices of everyday items are going to go up.
http://www.fee.org/the_freeman/detail/the-minimum-wage-good-intentions-bad-results/#axzz2mzmMrTqX- says that there would be 5 major changes if we were to higher minimum wage. These changes are:
1) There would be a loss of employment
2) The economics would have a loss because there would be less product
3) There would be a finical loss to the society
4) There would be funding in training people for jobs and for people to get new jobs
5) The net loss in society for everyday items would go up because the prices of labor costs would have to be covered, and then foreign competition may get more of the income for their company.
This is good proof as to why raising minimum wage would be a bad thin, because there are going to be more than just 5 downfalls.
http://www.moneynews.com/SeanHyman/minimum-wage-raise-employers-businesses/2013/02/17/id/490764
Says that if we raise the minimum wage that it is going to cost 24% more to hire a person to work for you. If the inflation went up to 6 or 8 percent, it would end up having a burden on the bigger companies. Also the prices of aluminum, steel, copper would start go up more and more.

Lemonade Stand Game Vocab
Variable- The variable in this game are the things that you can change. The things that change throughout the game are the price of the cup, the amount of sugar you will use in the cup, the lemons that you will put into the pitcher, and the amount of ice that you will put into the cup. The weather is also a variable because its changes from day to day. The price of the cup of lemonade will also change based on the weather.
Constant- The constants in this game are the cups because you are always using one no matter what.
Perishable- The perishables in the game are the lemons, your sugar, and ice. They are perishables because they go bad and you cant keep them forever, they end up going bad.

November 20% time Project
This month I have contacted the staff at the middle school and I have set up a time that I will be able to go and talk to them about implanting activities for the incoming sixth graders to participate in. I will go and talk to them about the struggles that the sixth graders go through when they first enter middle school. I will also ask them what they think about having the eighth graders help the sixth graders with activities, to also help boost the eighth graders confidence before they enter high school. Some of the obstacles that I will have to get around are holidays and short months of school. At the end of January, I would have liked to talk to the staff at the middle school about implanting activities that the sixth graders can partake in, even if it isn't a program like Ignition, I would still like to have the sixth graders have more involvement with the middle school before they completely enter the middle school.

Stocks
I have bought dell, and China Unico. Dell has a history of always going down, but then ends up coming back up again. Dell will have drops in their stocks but then will always jump back up. Dell always holds pretty solid at around $13 or more, and when it drops it only falls to $12. The catalysts shows that the stocks will drop for a short amount of time, and then go back up and hit their stable spot.
China unico, is a trade because when I bought the stock it was very high and making a lot of money, but now it has dropped and I will be trading it for something that will be making more money and won't be dropping as low as China Unico, although it will go back up it is still very low right now.

Black Jack
On Wednesday when we walked into the room we were all handed 12 poker chips, and them we had to go sit at a table. 12 people were allowed the sit down at the table and place their bets. We were then given one card and then another that was flipped up. Then the dealer asked if we wanted to get another card "hit" or if we wanted to stay. You wanted to try getting as close as you could get to 21. And if you went over then you "busted" and you lost the Chips that you bet. When I played my first hand I didn't know what I was doing at first, and then the next three hands I understood the game more. Throughout the game you wanted to try and end up getting the most chips in the class, but you had to make sure that you played at least 4 hands, and if you didn't get the chance to play four hands, you were able to win. This activity was a good idea, because it taught us strategy, and we had to be able to think and look at the positives. Playing blackjack, was just like buying an investment, with a little trade.

Investments vs. Trades
Investments are what are going to benefit you in the long run. You aren't always going to be losing or gaining money, but keeping the money that you have put into it because you can earn it back. They are going to last you long term and you have to research if they are stable and if they have a good history. If your investment usually drop and then go back up it could be okay to buy the stock when they are low because they could hit a high like the have done in the past. The investment could also help you and to keep your money. You are putting money into something that you think will help you.
Trade is a short term. You have to research and decide when a good time to buy a stock is. You could buy Walmart during the pre-school season, for that stock would go up because of everyone going there and buy school supplies. You cant keep the stock for the long-term and you have to decide when a good time is going to be for you to sell or trade the stock back. You are going to trade something at a low for something at a high to gain something out of it.

Candy Stocks
On Thursday as we walked into the classroom, there was a lot of noises going on, and the room was warmer than usual. We walked to the middle of the room and saw candy and fake money laying on the ground, and we all began to gather as much as we could get. I grabbed more money than I did candy, because I could grip the money better than the candy and I knew I would be able to get more. Then we were told that the market was going to open within the next couple of minutes. The amounts for each piece of candy was than written on the board and we tried to figure out what candy we wanted to keep and what candy we would want to invest in and buy. The amounts of each candy would either go up or down. Some people got what they thought was money, but they then realized that there was clues about what was going to happen with the stocks of the candy and they could use that as an advantage for themselves. If people made the right investment they would have bought twizzlers, jolly ranchers, the little suckers, because they were the ones who went up the most.
In the room, it was very hot and the lights were off. There was projectors going of people yelling and watching the stocks and how they were going up and down. There was also a light shinning on the board where the stocks were written. Everyone was walking around the room trying to make deals, and buy the candy that they thought would benefit them. Sometimes its okay to buy the items that are very low in price because they could end up being higher in the end.

20% time project
For my 20% time project I am going to try and implant a program in the middle school that is similar to the ignition program at the high school. The translation from elementary school to middle school is bigger change, than middle school to high school. I want to get the older kids involved and have them talk with the incoming sixth graders and tell them how all the teachers are, and what middle school is really about. The eighth graders know how all the teachers act, and what middle school is all about. This would also be helping the eighth graders learn responsibilities that they would be able to use in high school too, they would be gaining confidence in themselves.
During the month of September, I have researched how some sixth graders go through the transition differently, and how they have attitude changes, I have also figured out some activities that can be used in the program for middle schoolers.
By the end of October, I plan to contact the vice principle at the middle school, and some sixth grade teachers, and also eighth grade teachers to see what they think of the idea.

What do you plan to do after high school?
After high school I plan on starting college in Wyoming, close to home, and then moving to Arizona to finish college there and becoming a consoler for children who have bad home lives, or the ones who are struggling in the hospital with a type of illness. I will be paying for my options with Ag related scholarships that I am able to receive, and the ones that are available through the schools, and my money that I have saved up from pig projects. The type of car that I wold to have is a jeep wrangler and the cost for these is, $22,000. The average price to rent a one room apartment in Mesa starts at $680. What I learned from my research is that going out and living the life that I dream of living isn't going to be as cheap and as easy as I think it will be.
